Our Top 3 Custom Moments from 2023 and the Contractors Who Executed Them

Oh, it’s been a year. A beautiful year filled with some of our favorite projects to date from Downtown Penthouses (that reveal is coming soon!) to a wild Crested Butte remodel (photos in Spring) to a new Denver city pad for a true New Yorker. But we had some favorite custom moments in creating one-of-a-kind looks for our clients that stood out to us in our crew’s process, development, and execution. Ready for our top 3?

#3 Custom Understairs Playspace

I know, it’s the cutest. And while it may be small, we had to involve quite a few of our go-to crews. The ceiling is full of customization hard to see unless your the tiny astronaut that gets to enjoy this area. This small but mighty project involved carpentry, electrical, and wallpaper to fully complete.

#2 Wood Veneer Wallpapering

It’s just wallpaper, right? If you only knew! This Maya Romanoff micro-thin wood is laid on paper backing for flexible wall application. Just watch their finishing process here. Then you need a skilled laborer to install it! The paper is much heavier than regular wallpaper so it requires extra adhesive and very quick application. But our exceptionally detailed wallcovering installer and his decades long experience meant we didn’t have to worry about a thing!

#1 Custom Geometric Entry Bench

A top favorite around here, this entry piece was crafted by our most talented carpenters. Between our drawings, our carpenter’s measurements and skilled craftsmanship, plus an artisan painter for that gorgeous stain, our crews created the most appealing function in an otherwise unusable entry space.
